Houthis Strike Saudi Base as Regional War Escalates

Houthi fighters have launched drones and missiles at a Saudi military base in Sharurah, targeting weapons depots and command centres, while Saudi Arabia conducted 129 strikes in 48 hours across Yemen. The exchange is intensifying fears over disruption to Saudi oil infrastructure and the strategic Bab al-Mandeb shipping lane, with civilians fleeing in growing numbers. Iran's President Pezeshkian publicly insisted Tehran is not at war with Riyadh, a statement that landed against a backdrop of active cross-border fire.
