Fridge-free vaccines kept stable for a year
Scientists have successfully kept vaccines stable at room temperature for a full year, a breakthrough that could eliminate the cold-chain logistics that cause roughly half of all vaccine doses worldwide to be discarded. Reaching communities without reliable refrigeration — across much of sub-Saharan Africa and remote Asia — has long been one of global health's most stubborn bottlenecks.
