NHS approves first new resistant ovarian cancer drug in 20 years

NHS England has approved Elahere, a drug that prolongs life in women with chemotherapy-resistant ovarian cancer — the first new treatment for this group in over two decades. Ovarian cancer affects more than 300,000 women globally each year, and more than three-quarters are diagnosed at an advanced stage.
