OpenAI-Linked PAC Pays Influencers to Stoke China AI Fears

Build American AI — a nonprofit linked to a super PAC funded by executives at OpenAI and Andreessen Horowitz — has been paying TikTok influencers to spread pro-US AI messaging and frame Chinese AI as an existential threat. The super PAC has financial ties to both OpenAI, which is currently on trial against Elon Musk, and Palantir.
