Hawaii hit by worst flooding in over 20 years
Officials have ordered evacuations across Oahu's North Shore and parts of Maui as Hawaii endures its worst flooding in more than two decades, with muddy floodwaters inundating communities and threatening at least one dam. The crisis is compounding quickly: heavy rain has fallen on soil already saturated by a winter storm just one week earlier, and more rain is forecast through the weekend. Australia is separately reporting fuel supply disruptions, with six of 81 shipments cancelled since the Iran war began — a sign that the Hormuz crisis is already rippling into global supply chains.
