Margaret Hamilton, Apollo Software Pioneer, Dies at 90

Margaret Hamilton, the MIT computer scientist whose software kept Apollo 11 on course to the moon, has died aged 90. Hamilton essentially invented the discipline of software engineering before the term existed, and later received the Presidential Medal of Freedom for work that prevented a mission abort just minutes before Neil Armstrong landed.
