US pulls B-1 bombers from UK base after Iran terror plot

The US Air Force has withdrawn all B-1 bombers from RAF Fairford in Gloucestershire following the arrest of five British men — including a dual British-Iranian national — in an alleged plot to attack the base. UK and US officials have linked Iran to the planned attack, a significant escalation in tensions at a moment when Iran has also publicly stated it is ready for a US military strike. The abrupt redeployment marks one of the most dramatic security incidents at a NATO facility in years.
