AMD Acquires Fei-Fei Li's World Labs for $8.2 Billion

AMD has agreed to buy World Labs, the AI startup founded by Stanford professor and ImageNet pioneer Fei-Fei Li that specialises in world-model AI, for $8.2 billion in a deal expected to close before year's end. The acquisition is AMD's most aggressive move yet to close the gap with Nvidia in the AI chip and systems market.
