Anthropic Stopped Users Attempting Bioweapon Research

Anthropic has disclosed five cases in which users circumvented safety controls on its Claude AI and attempted to extract information useful for developing bioweapons, with some actively trying to obscure the purpose of their queries. The disclosure came the same week multiple Anthropic researchers publicly warned that unchecked AI development could lead to human extinction.
