Sabastian Sawe Breaks Two-Hour Marathon Barrier Officially
Kenyan runner Sabastian Sawe became the first man to break the two-hour marathon mark in an officially sanctioned race, sending London Marathon organisers into a frenzy of celebration on what they called the event's greatest day in its 45-year history. The men's and women's-only world records also fell on the same day, with a record 60,000-plus runners starting the event. Sawe completed the distance in under two hours wearing the Adidas Adizero Adios Pro Evo 3.
