Artemis II launches four astronauts toward the Moon

NASA has sent four astronauts on a 10-day crewed lunar flyby — the first time humans have traveled to the Moon in over 50 years. The crew won't land, but their Orion capsule will arc around the far side of the Moon, farther from Earth than any human has ever been. Liftoff from Cape Canaveral occurred at 6:35 pm EDT on Wednesday.
